Deborah Lynn ScottĀ (born 1954), also known asĀ Deborah Scott,Ā is aĀ costume designerĀ and set designer, best known for her work inĀ James Cameron's directorial venture, Titanic, which won her theĀ Academy Award for Best Costume Design. Scott collaborated with Cameron on his three films in theĀ AvatarĀ film series, earning her second Academy Award nomination for her costume design onĀ Avatar: Fire and Ash.
Her first movie as a costume designer wasĀ Don't Answer the PhoneĀ (1979). Some of her other movies areĀ E.T. the Extra-TerrestrialĀ (1982),Ā Back to the FutureĀ (1985),Ā Legends of the FallĀ (1994),Ā Wild Wild WestĀ (1999),Ā The PatriotĀ (2000),Ā TransformersĀ (2007),Ā AvatarĀ (2009), andĀ Love & Other DrugsĀ (2010). In 2023, she received theĀ Costume Designers Guild Career Achievement Award.
She has also worked as an Assistant costume designer onĀ Shakespeare in LoveĀ (1998) andĀ The Young VictoriaĀ (2009), and as a Set designer onĀ Alouette, je te plumeraiĀ (1989) andĀ Midsummer (Ā Nat Horne Theatre, New York City, 1990).
