Tyrese Darnell GibsonĀ (born December 30, 1978)Ā is an AmericanĀ R&BĀ singer and actor fromĀ Los Angeles, California. He signed withĀ RCA RecordsĀ in 1998 and released his debut single, "Nobody Else", in August of that year. It peaked within the top 40 of theĀ BillboardĀ Hot 100. It preceded hisĀ self-titled debut albumĀ (1998), which receivedĀ platinumĀ certification by theĀ Recording Industry Association of AmericaĀ (RIAA) and spawned his second top 40 single, "Sweet Lady".
His second and third albums,Ā 2000 WattsĀ (2001) andĀ I Wanna Go ThereĀ (2002), receivedĀ certifications from the RIAA.
