Biography

Atsuko Ikeda (Born Atsuko, The Princess Yori) is the widow of Takamasa Ikeda (Who died in 2012) and adoptive mother of Motohiro Ikeda (Born Motohiro Nozu). In 1952, she married Takamasa Ikeda, forcing her to relinquish her title, as per the Imperial Household Law of 1947. She served as Saishu (Most Sacred Priestess) of Ise Jingu Grand Shrine form 1988 until 2017 where she retired.
