Aryan Singh Rana
Biography
Aryan Singh Rana is an Indian actor born in Delhi, whose work spans independent cinema, short films, theatre, and commercials.
He made his feature film debut as the protagonist Anurag Bansal in Ghich Pich (2025), directed by Ankur Singla and produced by Barsaati Films. The film screened at the Cinevesture International Film Festival, the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne, and the Chicago South Asian Film Festival, before releasing theatrically on 8 August 2025. It is currently available to rent on Apple TV and Brew.
He went on to train through acting workshops across Delhi, and was mentored by National School of Drama alumni and SRC theatre practitioners. His path into performance began in college theatre at S.G.T.B. Khalsa College, Delhi University, where he studied Economics (B.A. Hons). There he was among the founding members of Chalchitra, a filmmaking society built around film screenings, discussions, and student productions.
That grounding carried into his stage work, most notably After Sanjay, an original play in which he portrayed Sanjay. Set in modern times, it follows Sanjay and Gandhari in the aftermath of the Mahabharata, and reads the epic’s witness and its grieving queen through a contemporary lens.
Alongside his feature and stage work, he has appeared in short films from film schools including Jamia Millia Islamia, SRFTI, and Columbia University, and has worked in several TV commercials, including a campaign for Hyundai.
