Dr. Palang Rocksilp (born July 18, 1989, in Bangkok, Thailand) is a Thai opera singer, actor, and educator. He moved to China at age 12 to study classical singing, later graduating in opera from the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing. He began his career performing in national concerts and at the 2008 Beijing Olympics closing ceremony. Fluent in Mandarin, he gained popularity through TV appearances in China, often using his humor and cultural insight.
Dr. Palang made his Thai acting debut in the Netflix series βMad Unicornβ as Rui Jie, a sharp-tongued programmer, earning the nickname βThe New Verbal Machine Gun.β Known for his powerful baritone voice and cross-cultural artistry, he continues to work between Thailand and China in music, teaching, and entertainment.
