Sri Adi Shankaracharya
Biography
Shankara was an 8th century Indian philosopher. He was born in southern India, studied the Vedas, and traveled around various regions as a monk, performing various miracles. He also built a monastery, wrote many books, and is said to have finally passed away in northern India.
