Biography

A Syrian actress, nicknamed the "First Lady of Syrian Comedy," she is the older sister of actress Sabah Al-Jazaeri. She entered the world of acting by coincidence in 1963 when Syrian director Qasimah Touzan saw her and offered her a role on television in the play Abu Al-Banat, where she played the role of a nurse. She later worked at the military theater as an employee for several years before gaining momentum with more roles and success, eventually standing alongside Syriaโ€™s top actresses. She gained notable attention through the series Wayn Al-Ghalat (Where's the Mistake), and her widespread fame came both locally and across the Arab world through the popular series A'ilat Al-Nujoom (The Stars Family) with director Hisham Sharbatji.
