Biography

Ari Lesmana is an Indonesian musician, songwriter, and actor best known as the lead vocalist of the indie band Fourtwnty. Born into a Minang family and raised in Pekanbaru, Ari pursued higher education at the London School of Public Relations, earning a master's degree at the age of 22. Before entering the music scene, he briefly worked in the banking sector and in internal communications at the Indonesia Stock Exchange.

As a founding member of Fourtwnty, Ari is recognized for his reflective lyrics and strong acoustic musical style, with songs like โ€œZona Nyamanโ€ and โ€œAku Tenangโ€ becoming anthems for the younger generation. His works often explore the relationship between humans and nature, social life, and the search for self-identity.

Outside of music, Ari has also ventured into acting, appearing in the films Ben & Jody (2022) and Budi Pekerti (2023). He is known as a modest yet expressive artist, actively advocating for courage, freedom of expression, and environmental awareness in his creative process.
