Biography

Elidan Arzoni made his stage debut at the age of 5 in opera and shortly thereafter in theater. During his childhood, he sang solo roles in professional productions of operas by Britten, Janáček, Kalman, Menotti, and Debussy ; in the theater, he performed in plays by Beckett, Hauptmann, and Turgenev.

After studying singing with José Van Dam, among others, he trained in drama at the Section Professionnelle d'Art Dramatique (SPAD) of the Lausanne Conservatory, where he graduated in 1997.

He then worked as an actor in theater, film, television, and, from 2008, also as a theater director.

He is the artistic director of the Compagnie Métamorphoses.

In film and television, he has collaborated with Jean-Luc Godard, Antoine Russbach, Jean-Laurent Chautems, Michael Schaerer, Tobias Ineichen, Denis Rabaglia, Ayten Mutlu, and Janine Piguet, among others.

He is the father of actor Vidal Arzoni.
