Biography

Philip James BaileyĀ (born May 8, 1951) is an American singer, songwriter and percussionist, best known as an early member and one of the two lead singers (along with group founderĀ Maurice White) of the bandĀ Earth, Wind & Fire. Noted for his four-octaveĀ vocal range and distinctiveĀ falsettoĀ register, he was inducted into theĀ Rock and Roll Hall of FameĀ in 2000 and theĀ Vocal Group Hall of FameĀ as a member of Earth, Wind & Fire.Ā He was also inducted into theĀ Songwriters Hall of FameĀ for his work with the band.

Earth, Wind, & Fire were awarded a Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for Recording at 7080 Hollywood Boulevard in Hollywood, California.
