Biography

Rati Tsiteladze is a European Film Academy Award-nominated filmmaker. A Cannes Rรฉsidence, Locarno Academy, TIFF Filmmaker Lab, and Berlinale Talents alumnus, his work has won over 50 awards and screened at more than 300 festivals worldwide, including Hong Kong and Locarno. His acclaimed short Prisoner of Society (2018) won multiple Oscar-qualifying awards and was nominated for a European Film Academy Award. Rati received the Moulin dโ€™Andรฉ Prize at the Cannes Film Festival, and at the Toronto International Film Festival, he received the HFPA Film Independent Award presented by the Golden Globes. His debut feature documentary, A Song Without Home (2026), made history as the first Georgian documentary to compete in the Main Competition at CPH:DOX.
