Biography

Thodoris Katsafados (born March 10, 1954 in Mani, Greece) is a Greek actor. He started at the Rialto Theatre with Aristophanes' "Plutos" in 1973, followed by various theatrical works such as "The Lion in Winter", "Papaphlessas", "Erotokritos", "Fortunatos", "Fotitai", "Topikos pārgon", "I tykhie tis Maroulas", "Katsourbos". From 1982 to 2008 he was a key figure at the National Theatre, participating in various works such as "Plutos", "I tikhie tis Maroulas", "Katsourbos", Aristophanes' "Irene", Sophocles' "Aias" and others. On television, he has taken part in various productions such as Restless Youth in the period 1973-1974, The Battle of the Storks, The Naked Girl, Expulsion, Don't Be Afraid of the Fire. On television, he has collaborated with director Panos Kokkinopoulos in the series 10th Commandment, Black Midnight, The 3rd Law and You Don't Kill. In the 2010-2011 season, he had one of the leading roles in the period series The Island, playing the president of Spinalonga, Petros Kontomaris. From 2011 to 2014, he was part of the main cast of the daily drama series Stolen Dreams. In the 2016-2017 season, he starred in Lefteris Papapetrou's comedy series, To kaló glikia mou simphetera. In the 2020-2021 season, he starred in the comedy series Parousiaste, in the role of the brigadier general.
