Biography

Brisbane-born actor Oliver Cameron is best known for his leading roles in award winning independent films such as Callum Moore's body-horror All These Faces Are Starting to Look Bizarrely Familiar (Sitges, Sydney Underground Film Festival, Fantastic Fest), the Adam C. Briggs (SXSW Sydney, Fantastic Fest) 16mm surrealist drama-comedy Phillip Philadelphia, and the Jake Moss (Prague International Film Festival, Future of Film Awards) Woodridge family drama Hood Safari.

Cameron began his career on the stage appearing in close to 20 theatre productions before branching out to film. He has trained with Queensland Theatre as a part of their Youth Ensemble, NIDA open workshops, The Warehouse, The fActory Acting Studio and esteemed acting coaches Les Chantery, Miranda Harcourt, Christopher Sommers and vocal coach Gabrielle Rogers.

A filmmaker himself, Cameron's short films have been selected for several Australian and international film festivals (Adelaide Fringe, Melbourne Webfest, Sydney Lift-Off, French Duck Film Festival). His short film Duck won Best Comedy at Brisbane Indie Film Festival in 2026.

He has lived in Paris and Morocco and frequently works between Australia and Europe.

Cameron is represented by Eaton Management in Australia.
